The journey begins

At 1702 Eastern, 2202 Z, Bill started his attempt to break the unbeatable record. After a last minute departure airport change and an administration snafu regarding airspace in the South Pacific, all went smoothly today. Bill had his daily morning exercise and a good nap before launch.

Conditions were perfect with clear skies and light winds down the long runway 36.
