6ZQ's engine was overhauled by Barrett Precision Engines. Bill has had no problems with the engine in 1800 hours and highly recommends them for major engine work. Rhonda, Allen and Monty are great to deal with.

In hopes for a more efficient combustion process and perhaps a slightly lower fuel flow, 6ZQ's left magneto was replaced with an Electroair electronic ignition system. 6ZQ's fuel flow improved by 1 to 1.1 gallon per hour lower fuel flow at the same airspeeds! On 30+ hour legs, this is an enormous increase in efficiency.

Camguard has been used in 6ZQ’s engine since break-in. In 1800 hours, every 50 hour oil analysis has been stellar. Compression has remained very good and borescope inspections have shown very little wear. Bill is a firm believer in this product.
